After watching Ken Burns’ films about Country Music…

I started listening to it again. Country music used to be a genre I only listened to when I was actually in the country. I did my undergrad in a small city/town where pickup trucks are almost as common as regular cars. So whenever I visited friends there, I’d stir up my country roots, something I’m very proud of (My grandmother and her parents lived there, and my mother was born nearby).

Hank Williams is still my all-time favorite but after watching the Burns films, I realized, as I’m sure Hank himself would say, “everyone has a song to sing.”
