How to get a good screen capture via remote desktop

Earlier today I was experimenting with getting a screenshot via remote computer. It’s not as easy as you’d think. The problem is that the software degrades image quality on the remote monitor. So when you do a screen capture, it’s a watered down version of the original. And then when you save it to .jpg format, it’s degraded again.

Usually you can get away with one degradation but two, and it starts to look crummy.

So after searching the web for a while, I realized I could get a screenshot of the original screen (via remote) by using the snip tool in Windows.

This is the end result.
