I generally am more of a window shopper – also Windows shopper – than an actual shopper. With the Canadian dollar at yet another low, it seems prices are even more artificially inflated in Canada than usual. This especially so with tech gear.
But with the aging iPad that I’m now typing on, things have slowed down to a crawl. Finding and posting news stories on mobile for Earthpages.org has become a near impossible task. Crash after crash, freeze after freeze, so I finally decided to take a look at the big box store today.
The tablets and notebooks were nice enough. But something inside told me not to splash my cash just yet. So I come home and find that Firefox has been available for free on iPad since last September. Hurriedly downloaded, I’m finding it fantastic compared to Safari, which I never really liked.
Speed and functionality are restored—actually better than ever. I’m very happy. And I didn’t have to spend a dime! Even happier… 🙂
