Just my stuff

Animal Farm

cattle.jpgAdmittedly, I eat meat. All kinds of meat. And I’m very honest and upfront about it.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t respect the animals that I eat.

Recently it seems that cheesy restaurant ads are representing animals in ways that I imagine future generations will think are twisted and disgusting.

In fact, I’d go as far to say that, just as we’re appalled by the ancient Roman games in the Colosseum, future generations will look back with revulsion at 21C mankind’s treatment of animals.

I won’t name any restaurants. But suffice it to say that I’ve seen decapitated animal heads hanging on walls, bending around smiling and talking while human beings are eating meat at restaurant tables below.

Where’s the respect in this?

I’ve also seen stupid hamburger ads where the beef bends out of shape in ways that are just… well, it’s sick.

Digital graphics are great. I loved playing with them, especially when they first came out. But I try not to use them to disrespect and degrade God’s creation.

That’s just perverse.
