I’d say that david bowie’s influence has yet to be fully appreciated, mostly because he’s usually so ahead of his time that it takes years and years for the almost visionary aspects of his work to become apparent.

Now, I’m not a bowie groupie. But I must admit that the old minstrel still comes to mind quite often. Maybe he’s not cranking out hits these days. But let’s not forget that many important artists went in and out of favor in their lifetimes. As Emile Zola once put it, “let posterity be the judge.”
